Pre-Owned Conn 12A B-flat Cornet
This 1949 Conn 12A (see note below) sports the proprietary "Coprion" electroformed copper bell that gives it its characteristic warm sound. It has evidence of repair consistent with normal wear for its age. Be advised this individual does not seem to respond well to deep British-style cornet mouthpieces. We recommend a medium-shallow to medium-deep bowl-shaped cup on the mouthpiece you choose. Includes original case and C.G. Conn 4 mouthpiece.
Note: This cornet very closely resembles a model 12A, but with some key differences in wrap. Note the "squarer" tuning slide and hard right angle going into the valve block. It may have been a one-off, special order, prototype, or have had some aftermarket work done.
