Designed by Albert Cooper, the Orchestral Brögger Flute enhances intonation and response in the third octave. Traditional French Model flutes can present challenges such as a resistant F#3, flat A3/A#3, and sharp G#3/C4. Cooper’s design corrects these issues, ensuring a balanced, even response across the upper register.

This is achieved through:
✔ Closed left-hand keys & open right-hand keys for improved stability.
✔ Optimized tonehole size & placement for precise tuning.
✔ Half-closing thumb mechanism for smoother high-note transitions.

Flutists will notice effortless leaps between intervals, better control in soft passages, and greater ease in fortissimo playing, making this flute ideal for orchestral settings.

• Modern Cooper: Inspired by Albert Cooper’s popular design, this headjoint balances projection, responsiveness, and a wide range of tonal colors.
• Modified Cooper: A flexible yet stable headjoint that produces a rich, full sound with slightly more resistance than the Modern Cooper.

Lafin Headjoints

Authentic Lafin Headjoints—crafted under the guidance of J. Rainer Lafin—are also available. These headjoints feature the signature Adler Wings for enhanced response and tonal flexibility. Like Brannen-Cooper® Headjoints, Lafin models share Albert Cooper’s influence but reflect Lafin’s ongoing innovation in design.
